  1. Sprinkle salt on the shrimp, toss and then let rest for 15 minutes. 

  2. Heat the oil over medium heat in a heavy non-stick pan. Add the garlic, bay leaf and chile. Cook, stirring, until the garlic begins to brown, about one minute. Turn the heat up to medium-high, add the shrimp. Cook, stirring, until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked, 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
